Kosciusko County FOP Lodge #149 has begun its annual fundraising campaign to benefit the 2014 Christmas event for local underprivileged children.
Letters are being sent to donors and no phones calls will be made by the lodge members unless a letter was sent and attempt to confirm receipt is made.
All money raised stays in this community and no outside solicitors are used. To assure donors of this fact, all checks are made out to and sent to the FOP Lodge post office box in Warsaw. No one will ask to pick up a check from donors.
A donation of $100 would provide one child with $50 worth of clothing and $50 worth of toys. This will not only provide shopping for needy children, but will give the officers a chance to encourage these children in a positive way.
This past year, one of the children asked to buy a blanket in place of a toy because she had to share a blanket with her brother. Your contribution helped this little girl get a much needed blanket.
As you know, needy children in our community need your help. Children are often the innocent victims of low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children are at the most risk.
The Kosciusko Fraternal Order of Police thanks all donors from past years, and is hoping for continued support for the Christmas 2014 event.
Donations may be made by sending a check, made payable to FOP Lodge #149, P.O. Box 832, Warsaw, IN 46580.
